Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) in Bali is a beginner-friendly program designed to introduce you to the underwater world. Even if you’ve never dived before, our experienced instructors will guide you through every step. With a brief training session, some practice in shallow water, and an unforgettable open water dive, you’ll experience the magic of Bali’s marine life in a safe and supportive environment. It’s the perfect way to start your scuba diving journey.

Discovery Diving prices include:
- Free pickup & return in Denpasar, Sanur, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak & Nusa Dua area. (small extra fee for Ubud, Canggu, Uluwatu…)
- Land & sea transport to the dive site.
- Diving with 1 PADI Instructor for max. 2 divers.
- All rental dive equipment.
- Lunch, refreshment & mineral water.
- Using towel.
- Government Tax and entry ticket.
Additional:
- Underwater Camera is available for rent at IDR 400.000/day.
- Extra dive is IDR 500.000/person/dive (minimum 2 divers).
- Upgrade for PADI Discover Scuba Diver recognition is IDR 100.000/person.
- Additional premium scuba insurance will be partner with DAN with additional price IDR 150.000/person/day.
Notes:
- Bookings can be confirmed with a 50% deposit or a full online payment.
- 50% charge applied if cancellation is made 1 week before trip.
- 100% charge applied if cancellation is made within 24-hours or no show.
Frequently Asked Questions about try diving in Bali
Do I need to know how to swim?
While basic swimming skills are helpful, they are not mandatory for Discover Scuba Diving. Your instructor will guide and support you throughout the experience.
Is scuba diving safe for beginners?
Yes! Safety is our top priority. Our PADI-certified instructors provide comprehensive briefings and ensure you feel comfortable at every step.
What if I feel nervous underwater?
It’s natural to feel nervous! Our instructors are trained to help you relax and adjust to the underwater environment at your own pace.
Do I need to have experience?
No, Discover Scuba Diving is designed for beginners!
What should I bring?
Bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. We’ll provide all the diving equipment, towel & Lunch.
How deep will I dive?
The maximum depth will be 12 meters (40 feet), but this will depend on your comfort level.
Can children participate?
Yes, children aged 10 and above can join the Discover Scuba Diving program with parental consent.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your safety comes first. If conditions are unfavorable, we’ll change dive site and offer an alternative location. Rain does not affect, but wave can in some occasions.
Is there an age limit for participation?
While the minimum age is 10, there is no upper age limit as long as you meet basic health requirements.
What if I want to continue diving?
If you fall in love with diving, you can easily upgrade to a PADI Open Water Diver course to become a certified diver.
