Frequently Asked Questions – PADI Courses in Bali

Bali Aqua offers the full range of PADI courses in Bali – from your first underwater experience to professional certification. Programs include Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response, Divemaster, and a range of Specialty courses including Sidemount, Deep Diver, Drift Diver, Nitrox, Night Diver, and Wreck Diver. Minimum ages vary by course. Discover Scuba Diving and PADI Scuba Diver are available from 10 years old. The PADI Open Water Diver course is available from 10 years old with a Junior certification, upgrading to full certification at 15. The Advanced Open Water course is available from 12 years old. The Rescue Diver course requires a minimum age of 12. The Divemaster program requires candidates to be at least 18 years old. Contact us if you have questions about a specific course for younger divers.

No. Our instructors teach in English, French, and Indonesian. All PADI learning materials are available in multiple languages. If you require instruction in another language, contact us before booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Yes. Many divers combine a PADI course with additional fun dives or a multi-day dive package during their stay in Bali. For example, completing your Open Water certification and then joining a 2 or 3-day dive package to explore Nusa Penida, Tulamben, or Amed.
